Accessibility statement
Last updated: September 30, 2026
Draft, pre-launch. This page is a working draft for a site that has not launched. The operator's address for legal notices has not been confirmed yet, and this text has not been reviewed by an attorney. Do not rely on it until this notice is removed.
We want everyone to be able to find a dent repair business and ask for quotes on Lose the Dent, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, voice control, screen magnification or a phone with large text.
1. Our target
We build the site to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. That is a target we work to, not a claim that every page has been independently audited. The site has not yet had a formal third-party audit.
2. What we have done
- Text and controls are checked for color contrast of at least 4.5 to 1, and information is never given by color alone.
- Every page can be used with a keyboard, has a "Skip to main content" link and shows a visible focus outline.
- Buttons, links and form fields are at least 44 pixels tall on phones, and every form field has a visible label.
- Pages have one main heading, headings in order, and landmarks for the header, main content and footer.
- The site works at 200% zoom and at phone widths without sideways scrolling, and respects your "reduce motion" setting.
- The quote request asks one question per screen, never moves on by itself, and keeps your answers if you go back.
3. Known limitations
- Maps. The maps are a visual extra and are hard to use with a screen reader. Every business on a map is also in the list on the same page, with its city or service area in text.
- Website screenshots. Cards and business pages show a small picture of the business's own website. It is decorative; the facts about the business are in text beside it.
- Content from others. Business descriptions, businesses' own websites, and photos that drivers and businesses upload are not written by us and may not be accessible.
- Photos in a request. Quotes depend on photos of the damage. If you cannot take or upload photos, contact us and we will help you send your request another way.
4. Tell us about a problem
If something on the site does not work for you, or you need information in another format, email hello@losethedent.com or use the contact form. Tell us the page and what went wrong. We aim to reply within 5 business days and to fix problems we can reproduce as a priority.
5. Review
We review this statement when the site changes in a significant way, and at least once a year.
